Where are grinders shoes made?
While I can’t answer for Solovair, Grinders moved production to China in 2009, the quality of the boot has also always been less, I have a pair of grinders and while I love them. They fall apart really easily leading to a dozen trips to a cobbler.

Note well: Grinders run a full size big and a bit on the wide side, so even though I wear orthotics and wool hiking socks, they still feel big. In comparison, current Docs run the same, but Gripfast boots seem to run true to size. The leather quality on the Grinders is great!

As a generalisation our footwear is a little larger than most other brands. We would therefore recommend you either purchase a pair of our cushioned socks with our footwear in your regular / typical size, as they offer about 1/2 a size extra fitting, or you go 1/2 a size smaller than you typically wear.
