What is Ensham Central project?
Ensham Resources Pty Ltd (Ensham) is the proponent for an expansion of the existing Ensham open-cut coal mine to be known as the “Ensham Central Project” (ECP). The existing Ensham mine is a large open cut, dragline and truck and shovel operation on ML7459, ML70326 and ML70049 located 40km east of Emerald in Central Queensland.
Where is Ensham mine located?
Ensham Resources’ Ensham Mine is located near Emerald in Queensland, Australia. Ensham uses a board and pillar mining approach to protect the surface, which is a known flood plain. The life of the mine is planned until 2030, and, when in full production, will employ six continuous miners (CM).
