Will R407C be phased out?
The production of refrigerants R134a, R407C, R407F and R410A is being phased out step-by-step. In 2020, the total production of synthetic refrigerants will be reduced by around 40%. In 2030, only 20% of the currently produced synthetic refrigerants may still be marketed.
What is the GWP of R600A?

What is the GWP of R32?
The R32 value of GWP is 677, which is below the F-gas regulation limit in RAC equipment (750). According to ASHRAE standard 34, R32 is less flammable than hydrocarbons, and the amount of charge permitted for R32 is above the necessary level in RAC equipment.
What can replace HFCs?
Some of the commonly used alternatives to HFCs in different sectors are propane (R290), isobutane (R600a), ammonia (R717) and carbon dioxide (R744). These refrigerants offer lower cost, have low GWP and high energy efficiency compared to their fluorinated counterparts.
Is R407C available?
Difluoromethane serves to provide the heat capacity, pentafluoroethane decreases flammability, tetrafluoroethane reduces pressure. R-407C cylinders are colored burnt orange. This refrigerant is intended as a replacement for R-22. R-22 production will be phased out by 2020 as per the Montreal Protocol.
