Can you open all sacrificial gates of Segrummar?
All gates are optional and are not to be confused with the quests Rune-Warded Gate of Segrummar and A Second Rune-Warded Gate, which are required to advance the plot of The Descent (quest).

The gear is found in a tunnel at the north-end of the map. It’s the same location as the last entry for the Killing Me Softly quest. Requires the Heidrun Thaig Lower Bridge operation to be completed.

Bartrand appears in Hightown once you’ve completed all the Main Plot quests that sprout up at first as Rumors. Speak to Bertrand when you’ve raised sufficient sums to become a partner to begin the Deep Roads Expedition.

How do you open the gate in the ruins of Heidrun thaig?
This gate is not marked on the map until it has been opened. Head to the large dwarven statue at the south end of the central bridge in the Ruins of Heidrun Thaig. To the left of an entrance to the cavern behind the statue, you’ll find a narrow passage. Follow this to find the gate beyond. There are no mobs within the cave.
Where can I find Heidrun thaig?
It’s located down south in the Darkspawn Warrens. Complete the “Deep Roads Expeditions: Heidrun Thaig Upper Bridge” quest to unlock a new area in the Deep Roads. Now you can return to the Warrens and use the large wooden bridge. Take the right path where the bridge forks. Down the right path, there’s a unique building jutting from the cavern walls.
How many Hurlocks are there in the ruins of Heidrun thaig?
This gate leads to a cavern containing four Hurlocks which are easily dealt with. You can take a shortcut to the Ruins of Heidrun Thaig at the other end of the cave once you’ve cleared the area.
What are the darkspawn Warren gears in the ruins of Heidrun thaig?
Note: Despite the fact that the area you are in for numbers 7 and 8 is labeled as the Ruins of Heidrun Thaig, these two gears still count as Darkspawn Warren gears. Ignoring the elevator down, use the ledges past the elevator to start descending.
