Candy cigarettes were probably my favorite candy growing up in the 60’s and early 70’s. Over the years I have tried several more contemporary iterations of this type of candy and most were no where near as good as I recall the original, which had very specific chalkiness, powdered surface, fracturing, and dissolving in the mouth attributes.
