Is UBC Library open to public?

Should a collections account say open?
Debt collectors report the “Open Date” for their collection account as the date that they received collection authority, either by way of assignment from the current owner, or when they purchased the debt. The “Open Date” is unrelated to any date pertaining to the original creditor.
Can collections be removed before 7 years?
Paid or unpaid collection accounts can legally stay on your credit reports for up to seven years after the original account first became delinquent. Once the collection account reaches the seven-year mark, the credit reporting companies should automatically delete it from your credit reports.

Apply for your UBCcard online through the UBC Carding Office website and your account information will be emailed to you. Distance Education Students are eligible to register for Distance Learning Library Services after obtaining a UBCcard.
