What are SSAO textures?
Screen space ambient occlusion (SSAO) is a computer graphics technique for efficiently approximating the ambient occlusion effect in real time.
Should I enable SSAO?
SSAO – Screen Space Ambient Occlusion Graphically impressive games, especially newer ones, may suffer in quality with this option. However, if you do not emphasize that with your gaming, this is probably your best bet. In short: It works well, sacrificing graphical quality while still looking good on older PCs.
What is SSAO shader?
SSAO is one of the more fairly involved shading techniques, but once you pull it off, you’ll feel like a shader master. By using only a handful of textures, SSAO can approximate the ambient occlusion of a scene. This is faster than trying to compute the ambient occlusion by going through all of the scene’s geometry.
What is VSync gaming?
Vertical Sync, or VSync, synchronizes the refresh rate and frame rate of a monitor to prevent screen tearing. VSync does this by limiting your GPU’s frame rate output to your monitor’s refresh rate.
Is HBAO better than SSAO?
H*AO offers better quality but with an increased performance hit. SSAO is less accurate but improves image quality with a much smaller performance penalty. If you’re going to use H*AO, from what I understand you should select HDAO if you have an ATI card or HBAO if you have an nVIDIA card.
What is high quality LODs ark?
High-Quality LODs – Improves the level of details. You can leave it ON since details won’t affect overall game performance. Extra Level Streaming Distance – This will make map loading faster while moving fast. However, it takes a lot of RAM.
