What are RGB controllers for?
Change the color, color mode, or brightness of RGB LED strip lights with RGB LED controllers. Controllers are available in-line styles, with wireless remotes, or as wall-switches.
How do you control RGB lights?
There are two possible ways you can control the RGB lighting on your system, depending on the configuration of your MAINGEAR system:
- Use the remote control.
- Use the RGB control software that corresponds with the manufacturer of your motherboard.
What does controller do for LED lights?
RGB controllers are used to change the color and brightness of your RGB LED lighting. They also have built in color changing functions such as color fades and flashes. We have basic controllers and more advanced which give you customization over specific colors and modes.
How does RGB work?
RGB is called an additive color system because the combinations of red, green, and blue light create the colors that we perceive by stimulating the different types of cone cells simultaneously. As shown above, the combinations of red, green, and blue light will cause us to perceive different colors.
What is RGB lighting?
RGB LED means red, blue and green LEDs. RGB LED products combine these three colors to produce over 16 million hues of light. Note that not all colors are possible. Some colors are “outside” the triangle formed by the RGB LEDs. Also, pigment colors such as brown or pink are difficult, or impossible, to achieve.
Do I need RGB controller?
It generally depends on the motherboard having an RGB header. If it does, then you don’t have to buy a controller to use an RGB fan. You will obviously need a controller and a hub if you want to connect more fans than the RGB headers on your motherboard.
Why do computers use RGB?
The main purpose of the RGB color model is for the sensing, representation, and display of images in electronic systems, such as televisions and computers, though it has also been used in conventional photography.
What is the difference between LED and RGB?
While RGB can produce color that is close to white, the dedicated white LED chip provides a pure white tone that is better for task and accent lighting, when color is not needed. The extra white chip also allows the LED strip to produce a unique mix of RGB and color lighting.
