What USB does Scarlett 2i2 use?

The Scarlett 2i2 has a single USB 2.0 port (on the rear panel). Once the software installation is complete, simply connect the Scarlett 2i2 to your computer using the USB cable provided. (Note that Scarlett 2i2 is a USB 2.0 device and thus the USB connection requires a USB 2.0+ compliant port on your computer.
Does Scarlett 2i2 have USB?

The Scarlett interface is a USB 2.0 interface, using a USB 2.0+ (e.g., USB 3.0, 3,1 etc.) cable will work, but the increased bandwidth will not offer any benefits to the signal quality or latency speed. We recommend you use the shortest USB cable you can. We do not recommend using cables longer than 2m in length.
Is Focusrite 2i2 USB-C?
The Scarlett 1st & 2nd Gen interfaces ship with a standard USB-B to USB-A cable and we recommend this is used with your interface wherever possible.

Scarlett 2i2 has been tested extensively with Garageband, Cubasis 2, Auria Pro, Ampify Launchpad, Ampify Groovebox and Ampify Blocs Wave, as well as FL Studio. Now you can record anywhere, really.
Is Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 compatible with Pro Tools?
Can I use Focusrite hardware with Pro Tools LE, Pro Tools Express or Pro Tools M-Powered. Pro Tools LE, Pro Tools Express and Pro Tools M-Powered are not compatible with third-party audio interfaces and so will not work with any Focusrite audio interfaces.

Does my bus powered Scarlett (Solo, 2i2, 2i4, 4i4) require Scarlett MixControl or Focusrite Control? No, these devices are not compatible with Scarlett MixControl or Focusrite Control. All of the controls for these devices are hardware-based instead (i.e accessible from the front panel of each device).
Do I need to download Focusrite control for my Scarlett device?
Yes, Focusrite Control is required for these devices. Focusrite Control can be downloaded from your Focusrite account, or from the main downloads page (select the correct product from the drop-down list i.e Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen, Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen, etc).
