Mefix® is a self-adhesive fabric, containing acrylate, for secure fixation of dressings, tubes and cannulas 1 2 . Breathable and water-resistant, Mefix has been designed to be gentle to the skin while providing secure fixation 1 3 .
Is Mefix tape waterproof?
MEFIX consists of an apertured, non-woven polyester fabric and is covered with a layer of protection and a acrylic adhesive, roll back. The soft fabric is waterproof and provides a barrier to the blood and fluid surrounding skin.
Is Mefix tape breathable?

What can I use instead of Mefix tape?
Mefix is fantastic for pregnant bellies and designs on breasts too. Choose Latex Free tapes such as micropore, mefix or hypafix, or saniderm. Latex is a common allergy and can result in a painful rash. Gentle removal of tape by applying coconut oil or a soak in the shower prior to removal will help to avoid irritation.
How do you apply Mefix tape to henna?
Cut strips of tape in 2-3 inch pieces, peel off the backing paper and place over the henna paste so they are slightly over-lapping. Follow the contours of the body/muscles when applying the tape. Keep the henna paste on 4-8 hours, longer is better.
