Does there exist a projective plane of order 14?
exists. . It is conjectured that these are the only possible projective planes, but proving this remains one of the most important unsolved problems in Combinatorics. The first few orders which are not of this form are 6, 10, 12, 14, 15..
Is RP N compact?
We are going to show that RPn is a compact connected n–manifold. tU is open. Hence, π(U) is open in RPn by definition of the quotient topology.
