Can cherry shrimp live with blue rams?
Yes, German Blue Rams will eat any shrimp they can fit in their mouths. Adult Red Cherry Shrimp or Amano Shrimp may not be eaten, but babies and juveniles almost certainly will.
Can blue rams live with bettas?
German Blue Rams DO NOT make good tanks mates for Betta fish. Both species of fish can be aggressive, territorial and often take a dislike to tank mates. Both species of fish also require different water temperatures and general water parameters making them incompatible.

Most everyone will tell you to be cautious and definitely not put expensive shrimp with any ram. Some will tell you that their rams don’t touch the shrimp. I would wager that you would have more luck introducing some shrimp to a tank with Rams in them compared to introducing rams to a largely shrimp tank.
Are German blue rams fin nippers?
German Blue Rams aren’t major fin nippers but Barbs and larger Tetras often do so. Female Bettas and wild-type Bettas may be a better choice if your Rams are a little more aggressive!
