What is SPG and PG?
The MTRCB (Movies and Television Review and Classification Board) has just implemented a new rating called SPG (Striktong Patnubay at Gabay or Strong Parental Guidance) in addition to the existing ones: GP (General Patronage), PG (Parental Guidance), PG-13, For Adults Only and X (cannot be shown).

A PG film should not unsettle a child aged around eight or older. Unaccompanied children of any age may watch, but parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset younger, or more sensitive, children.
What do you call Rated PG?
PG: Parental Guidance Suggested, Some Material May Not Be Suitable for Children. The film should be investigated further by parents. There may be some content such as language, violence or brief nudity, but they aren’t so intense that more than guidance is suggested.
What does the MTRCB SPG rating look like?
It first shows the MTRCB logo with it’s jingle, then Neneng Arceo says the information about this rating along with the red SPG box with the text “Strong Parental Guidance/“Striktong” Patnubay at Gabay” below the box. A 5-note piano piece, with the last note being held, followed by a female announcer.
What is a “SPG” rating?
The television program classified as “SPG” must still fall within the parameters of existing Parental Guidance classification rating. The applicability of this rating has been restricted as follows: A “PG” classification advises parents or supervising adults that the film may contain any of the following: themes, language, violence, nudity, sex, and horror, whose treatment is suitable for children below thirteen (13) years of age.
