About this Park Facing Mokoli’i (Chinaman’s Hat) Kualoa “B” Beach Park is adjacent to ancient Hawaiian fishponds. Fishing here can be quite good. A printed permit is required to camp in this park. All fees are non-refundable.

Thanks! Makalawena is part of Kekaha Kai State Park and currently there is no camping allowed.

You are free to park your car, set up your tent and camp as long as you aren’t blocking the road. One unique feature of this beach is the Queen’s Pond. It is a brackish water pond, meaning it gets water from a freshwater spring as well as the ocean.
