What is X-Plane?
Welcome to the world of props, jets, single- and multi-engine airplanes, as well as gliders, helicopters and VTOLs. X‑Plane contains subsonic and supersonic flight dynamics, allowing users to predict the flight characteristics of the slowest aircraft or the fastest.
How do I Install x-plane on a Mac?
Installation of X-Plane Before installing, we recommend uninstalling any old or demo versions of X‑Plane. You can do this by simply dragging the old X‑Plane folders to your Recycle Bin (called Trash in Mac OS X). Insert the first X‑Plane DVD into your DVD drive and wait for it to spin up.
Where can I find the latest X-Plane manual?
About This Manual This is version 11.50 of the manual to the home and professional versions of X‑Plane (X-Plane 11 and X‑Plane 11 for Professional Use, respectively). The latest version will always be available online on the X‑Plane website. PDF manuals are available in German, French, and Spanish.

Is X-Plane 11 worth it?
If you played the BETA and enjoyed the depth and realism of the simulation, then you will 100% enjoy the use of X-Plane 11 in full – it’s improved even further again from the beta. Depth and detail are in major supply when you use this simulator, and it’s going to make a huge difference for newcomers who are not quite used to simulation.
What’s new in X-Plane 10?
Most apparent [among X-Plane 10’s upgrades] is the use of full 3-D scenery . . . that follows the roads as they snake through the landscape. The result is very plausible cities: it’s really neat to fly over fully 3-D houses in residential areas, and generated skyscrapers in more urban locales.
What’s wrong with X-Plane?
CTD causes range from bad saves and corrupt plane files, to systems failures (X-Plane features wonderfully sophisticated aircraft malfunction modelling. Almost every element of a plane is vulnerable to random failures). In normal circumstances, I’d be dismayed. Knowing the way that Austin and his crew work, I’m merely disappointed.
