When a person dies without a will you can ask us to search our records to see if they have been recorded as a parent to any children. This is known as a section 50 search.

What is a Section 50 application?
Any person or organisation who wishes to carry out works on a highway, will need to apply for a street works licence (Section 50 Licence). This requirement does not apply to anyone acting under a statutory right.
How do you find out who is a beneficiary?
Review Papers. The best place to start is with the deceased person’s final papers. The will should contain a list of all assets, such as bank accounts, as well as the designated beneficiary for each asset. From this, you will be able to determine who the beneficiary is for a given bank account.
Can I get a birth certificate from service NSW?
