What do Keywardens do?
Keywardens are unique bosses who have a chance to drop the keys and plan required to activate the Infernal Machine and obtain a Hellfire Ring. Keywardens are only found on Inferno difficulty, and each one is randomly located in a given level, one per act.

To begin your journey all you need to do is find and kill a Keywarden. There are four Keywardens and each one can be found in one of the four acts in Diablo III. The Keywardens in the first three acts drop a key, and the Keywarden that appears in Act IV drops the crafting plan for the Infernal Machine.
