How do I claim tax free at Costco?
Our Tax Department will process your exemption after you’ve placed your order and submitted the following documentation:
- A copy of your resale/tax exempt documentation.
- A copy of the Costco.com shipping confirmation email from your purchase or printed receipt from your online “Order Status” page.
Does Costco refund sales tax?
Currently, Costco.com does not offer sales tax exemption at the point of sale. Only claims meeting the exemption requirements of the state where merchandise is shipped will be considered. Receipt of your claim is not an agreement that tax will be refunded.

What does G mean on Costco receipt?
GP = GST and PST, etc. So if the cashier did it right, the receipt would show: Item x.xx GP. coupon -3.00. And you would pay taxes on any G and/or P items.
How much is Costco Executive Membership with tax?
An Executive Membership is an additional $60 upgrade fee a year. Each includes a free Household Card. Please include sales tax in all applicable states. (Business Members also pay an additional $60 for each additional cardholder – purchases made by the additional cardholders do not contribute towards the 2% Reward.)
Can I use my tax exempt card at Costco?
