How do you qualify for Physics Olympiad?
Students must be eligible to compete at the International Physics Olympiad to be invited to U.S. Physics Team training camp. This requires that they are U.S. citizens, or hold a green card and have attended school in the U.S. for at least three years.

Can I give IPhO after 12th?
The examination is intended for students in 9th,10th and primarily, the 11th and 12th standard. Students who have passed Class 12 are not eligible to enrol for NSEP. Besides, they must satisfy the age criteria for IPhO (Less than 20 years of age on June 30th of the year of the respective IPhO).
How can I give International Physics Olympiad?
Eligibility : All Indian students who are born on or after July 1, 2000 and, in addition, are in Class XII or lower as of November 30, 2019 are eligible to appear for NSEP 2019. A student may appear for more than one subject provided the examination schedule allows it.

Is University physics good for IPhO?
Very helpful. Lower division undergrad physics knowledge should be (nearly) enough for IPhO. Once you have mastered it, all you need is problem solving skills/experience. Assuming you are smart, doing a good number of exercises should make you ready for IPhO.
