In fact it’s been on its last legs and as a mercy, we’ve decided to retire it in favour of a new triple j Unearthed website. Unfortunately to do so, the old Unearthed website needs to go down for a few weeks as we migrate to the new platform.

How long does approval take triple j Unearthed?
To appear on triple j Unearthed, you must submit at least one track. Once you submit your stuff it will appear in a ‘pending’ state until we listen to the track and approve it. This normally takes one week but may take a little longer in busy periods.
How does triple j Unearthed work?
Essentially, the charts are based on how many ratings and reviews you have received, what your average rating is, and who is rating you, in addition to your downloads and plays. The charts are updated every Monday.
Why did Double J become triple j?
In 1980, Double Jay moved from the AM band to FM and became triple j. To celebrate, the station threw a huge, free and sweltering outdoor festival in Parramatta Park, Sydney.
