Crathie is popular with visitors due to its proximity to Balmoral, Royal Lochnager distillery and Crathie’s granite kirk, opposite the gates of Balmoral Castle on the main road. This was built in 1895 with the proceeds of a bazaar held at Balmoral, and is the Royals’ local church.
Can you visit Crathie Church?
You can walk from there to the Church and then cross the road to the burial grounds. Do not take the car. Crathie Church is where Princess Ann was married in 1992, however it was closed when we visited. There are two grave yards side by side.
