What temperature is Patagonia Micro Puff good for?

While the warmth to weight ratio is very high with the Micro’s synthetic 65-g PlumaFill® polyester insulation, it ultimately didn’t keep us quite as warm as the Nano’s 60-g PrimaLoft® polyester insulation. The Micro wears most comfortably in the 35-50 degree range—though you will work up a sweat if you’re on the move.
Is the Micro Puff worth it?
This jacket performs best as a mid layer for weight-conscious climbers and hikers. Worn as an outer layer, we found that ultralight shell is easily shredded by bushes and rough rock, so take care! For this reason, we’d only recommend it as a mid layer and would avoid much use as an outer layer.
What is the difference between Nano and Micro Puff Patagonia?
The Nano puff is more durable but heavier and less packable (bear in mind that it’s still very lightweight and easily stuffs into the crevices of over-packed bags). The Micro Puff is lighter — it tallies 8.3 ounces compared to the Nano’s 11.9 — but less durable with a shell that’s roughly half as thick.
Is the Micro Puff warmer than the Nano Puff?
Overall, Micro Puff insulation is lighter, warmer, and more packable than the aging Nano Puff tech, but it’s also more expensive. There are plenty of reasons why Nano Puff clothing is the right choice for many outdoor enthusiasts.
How do I clean my Patagonia Micro Puff?

How warm is the Patagonia Nano Puff?
This will depend on each person, their temperature limit, and the specific climate you’re in, but we’ve generally found that the temperature range for this coat is anything from 30 to 50 degrees.
Does Patagonia Nano Puff run small?
The jacket is form fitting but I felt that the sizing ran small when compared to similar medium sized puffy jackets. I would have preferred to layer sweaters underneath for additional warmth but the medium did not allow it. So if you want to layer clothing under it, I recommend you order a size up.
How warm is Micro Puff?
It’s always difficult to assign a temperature range for an insulated piece, but we found the Micro Puff kept us reasonably comfortable into approximately the mid 40s Fahrenheit with a thin baselayer underneath.
Does Patagonia fleece shrink?
Do Patagonia fleeces shrink? The answer is No. You can’t shrink the Patagonia fleeces because they are used along with polyester, which is not like any fabric and thus takes a very high temperature to relax its structure and shrink.
