Is Disney sending out MagicBands?
If you are staying at a Disney resort, your Magic Bands will be mailed to your home soon after you order them. In my experience, it takes about a week or two to receive them. If you don’t live in the US, your MagicBands will be waiting for you at your hotel when you arrive.
How do I customize my Disney MagicBand?
When purchasing a retail MagicBand in a merchandise location or online through shopDisney, personalization is not available. You will need to link your MagicBand to your My Disney Experience account by using the code printed on the inside of the band.
Are Disney MagicBands still free?
While Magic Bands are still available at Disney World, they are no longer included for free with the cost of a resort stay. Increasingly, they aren’t even needed as your phone or Apple Watch can now do many of those same functions — and more — without having to wear a just-for-Disney wrist accessory.
Can you use someone else’s MagicBand at Disney?
A. No. Your MagicBand or card is unique to you and only you are authorized to access the benefits associated with it—including linked tickets, touch-to-pay purchases and other entitlements. Once a MagicBand or card is linked to your Disney account, it cannot be transferred to another person.

The custom MagicBand can be associated to your My Disney Experience account, or you can give it as a gift to friends or family. Price for a custom MagicBand is $21.95; with personalization the retail MagicBand is $29.95.
Can my friend use my MagicBand?
The MagicBands are uniquely personal and only the original intended user is authorized to access the tickets and other benefits and privileges like FastPass, purchasing options, and dining entitlements. The minute a MagicBand is linked to your account it cannot be transferred to another person.

Can you buy a Magic Band at the parks?
After you purchase a Magic Band you can link it to your My Disney Experience account. You can then use your MagicBand to enter the theme parks and check-in for FastPass+ reservations. Those staying at an off-site hotel or who want a special band can buy a MagicBand online at ShopDisney (aka the Disney Store).
