Is UCSC gym free for students?
Description. The Wellness Center is the UCSC on-campus gym. All currently-enrolled undergraduates have free access to the gym, although frequently the lower floor is reserved for PE classes and faculty/staff-only hours.

Does UC Santa Cruz have a gym?
The Wellness Center is our main gym on campus and is located on the East side. Inside the gym we have Olympic weight lifting platforms, over 50 pieces of cardio equipment, weight racks, and 2 TRX training zones. UCSC students are allowed access to the gym with their student ID cards.
Does UCSC gym have showers?
Membership ID card/barcode is required for facility admission as well as equipment check-out (weight belts, dip belts, jump ropes, resistance bands, balance discs). Showers in the East Field House are available for use. Important Note: Due to boiler malfunctions, showers are not currently equipped with hot water.
How old is Sammy the Slug?
25 years old
UC Santa Cruz’s mascot Sammy the Slug is 25 years old. In honor of the slug’s birthday, at the beginning of the regularly scheduled city council meeting, Mayor Ryan Coonerty proclaimed Sept. 27, 2011 the official day of the UCSC mascot. The mascot made a special surprise appearance at the meeting.
Does UCSC have Greek life?
Panhellenic is an umbrella term for three Greek organizations on campus: Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Alpha Theta, and Kappa Kappa Gamma. Although each organization has its own personal philanthropy, we all share the same Panhellenic values and will be holding a recruitment together this fall!

Welcome to Aquatics! Our Aquatics program is located at the Slug Recreation Complex East UC Santa Cruz. The program offers swim lessons year-round for swimmers of all levels and ages in addition to health and safety courses, such as Lifeguarding Training and Water Safety Instructor (WSI).

What is Life Time’s policy on cancellation of programs?
Life Time reserves the right to cancel Kid’s Programs at any time for any reason including low enrollment, bad weather, unforeseen circumstances, directives from local, state or federal authorities, governmental orders or for any other reason. If a Kid’s Program is cancelled by Life Time, Minor Participant will not be considered as having used it.
