How do you use 3M Tegaderm?
Gently grasp one edge and slowly peel the dressing from the skin in the direction of hair growth (figure M). Avoid skin trauma by peeling the dressing back, rather than pulling it up from the skin (figure N). A medical adhesive solvent can be used to facilitate dressing removal.
What is the difference between Tegaderm and Tegaderm HP?

How do I remove 3M Tegaderm?
Gently stretch the Tegaderm dressing straight out and parallel to skin. This will release the adhesion of the dressing to the skin. As the Tegaderm dressing is loosened, you may either (1) alternately stretch and relax the dressing or (2) “walk” your fingers under the dressing to continue stretching it.
Can I shower with Tegaderm?
Showering will not affect Tegaderm; it is reasonably waterproof. You can shower normal while healing. However, do not bathe or swim until your tattoo is fully healed. After 3-4 days, remove the Tegaderm by carefully peeling it off of your skin.

Do you put Tegaderm directly on wound?
First I paint around the wound with Mastisol or tincture of benzoine. These are products that make the skin sticky so the Tegaderm (or whatever brand you use) will stick to the skin around the wound better. Be careful not to get this stuff in the actual abrasion because it will sting like mad.
